Life
Changes
After the death of her husband, Mary felt lonely and longed to
be near her children and grandchildren up North.
She discussed her situation with her family then took a small apartment
in her old hometown. She chose which items she wished to take with
her after deciding not to move her tropical look furniture. She
then called Clearing House to dispose of the remaining furnishings.
She was happy to learn that her husband's clothing and tools would
be donated to people who would benefit from them, sparing her the
pain of sorting through his things.
She took the things she had chosen, listed her house for sale,
then moved North.
Mary maintained her sense of independence by handling her move
without disrupting her family, benefited from the sale of consignment
furnishings, and will use the receipts from donations for IRS deductions.
Feeling capable of handling her own affairs, she began a new chapter
of her life with confidence. |
